Job Summary:
SM Electronics Technologies (SMET) is seeking an experienced and result-oriented Sales Engineer / Senior Sales Engineer / Assistant Manager - Sales to manage existing customer accounts and develop new business opportunities in the electronic components and display solutions market.
The ideal candidate should have 3–5 years of experience in sales of electronic components, MCU’s, displays, embedded products, or related technologies. The role requires strong customer relationship management, technical understanding, commercial negotiation skills, and the ability to independently drive business growth across assigned accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow existing customer accounts while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities with OEMs, EMS companies, and industrial customers.
- Promote SMET's portfolio, including MCU’s, displays (LCD/TFT), electronic components, connectors, sensors, semiconductors, HMI solutions, and embedded products.
- Understand customer application requirements and recommend suitable technical solutions in coordination with the FAE and product teams.
- Prepare quotations, negotiate commercial terms, and close business opportunities.
- Drive the complete sales cycle from lead generation to order booking and project execution.
- Develop strong relationships with customer purchasing, engineering, R&D, and management teams.
- Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure timely quotations, sample support, deliveries, and issue resolution.
- Prepare sales forecasts, demand plans, opportunity pipelines, and business reports.
- Monitor payment collections and support timely collection of receivables.
- Track market trends, competitor activities, pricing, and emerging technologies to identify new business opportunities.
- Represent SMET during customer visits, technical seminars, exhibitions, and business meetings.
Desired Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, E&TC, or a related engineering discipline.
- 3–5 years of experience in technical sales of electronic components, MCU’s, displays, connectors, Sensors, Wireless devices, embedded systems, industrial automation products, or related technologies.
- Experience handling OEM, EMS, automotive, industrial, medical, or telecom customers is preferred.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and developing customer relationships.
- Good understanding of electronics and customer application requirements.
- Ability to independently manage customer accounts and drive business growth.
