Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled High-Speed Hardware Design Engineer with 5+ years of experience in high-speed digital and mixed-signal PCB design. The candidate will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and validating high-speed interfaces and ensuring signal integrity, power integrity, and EMI/EMC compliance in complex hardware systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop high-speed embedded system hardware/
- Work on high-speed interfaces such as:
- DDR3/DDR4/LPDDR
- PCIe, USB 3.x, HDMI, MIPI, Ethernet (1G/10G)
- Develop stack-up definitions, impedance control, and routing strategies.
- Collaborate with layout teams to ensure proper routing guidelines:
- Differential pair routing
- Length matching
- Crosstalk minimization
- Ensure compliance with EMI/EMC standards and support certification activities.
- Perform schematic design and review using tools like Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro, or equivalent.
- Work closely with FPGA, SoC, and embedded software teams for system integration.
- Conduct board bring-up, debugging, and failure analysis using oscilloscopes, TDR, VNA, etc.
- Support manufacturing, testing, and troubleshooting during production.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in high-speed digital hardware design.
- Strong understanding of:
- Transmission line theory
- Signal integrity and power integrity
- Controlled impedance routing
- Hands-on experience with SI/PI tools such as:
- Experience with high-speed protocols and debugging.
- Knowledge of PCB materials, stack-ups, and fabrication processes.
- Familiarity with EMI/EMC standards and compliance testing.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with HDI design, via optimization (blind/buried vias).
- Exposure to high-speed SERDES design (>5 Gbps).
- Knowledge of thermal analysis and power design.
- Experience working with embedded processors (e.g., ARM-based SoCs).
- Familiarity with scripting (Python/Matlab) for analysis/automation
- PCB Design: Cadence Allegro
- Lab Equipment: High-bandwidth oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, VNAs
